It will be seen, from an examination of the drawing in the plan, that the portion of this fitting bounded by the lines Ca^ a b^ and bC \%z, plane triangle; this triangle may accordingly be disregarded in the location of the triangles for the remainder of the surface. The outline of the curved portion of the upper base is therefore divided into a convenient number of equal spaces, in this case four, and an equal number of spaces are set off on the outline of the lower base.
